One programme is running on the floor this month: a complete set of steel sailing masts for the 1931 four-masted barque Sea Cloud, built here and shipped to Malta to be stepped aboard. The scope, the stage and the dates are published; the rest stays with her owner.

A square rig, built new in steel.

The complete set of sailing masts for the 1931 four-masted barque Sea Cloud, built in steel as the originals were — heavier sections, tighter distortion control and a far more demanding approach to alignment than a modern spar would ask for. Fabrication runs in full at Tuzla; the finished masts are sea-fastened and shipped to Malta to be stepped aboard.
